FACULTY MEMBER RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
In accordance with the relevant articles of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the Civil Servants Law No. 657, and the “Regulation on the Promotion and Appointment to Faculty Membership,” as well as the “Boğaziçi University Principles for Appointment and Promotion to Faculty Membership,” Boğaziçi University will recruit Associate Professors (permanent position) and Assistant Professors (Doctor Faculty Members) for open positions in its Faculties and Institutes.
Applicants for the Associate Professor position must submit an application letter, a copy of their ID card, curriculum vitae, a copy of the Associate Professorship Certificate issued by the Interuniversity Board, postgraduate theses, academic publications, conference papers, lists of citations, lists of completed and ongoing master’s and doctoral theses supervised, lists of courses taught, research projects conducted, contributions to institutionalization of research and education, external resources and administrative duties undertaken outside the university, along with supporting documents compiled in one USB drive within 15 days from the date of this announcement to the Personnel Department.
Applicants for the Assistant Professor (Doctor Faculty Member) position must submit an application letter, a copy of their ID card, curriculum vitae, copies of postgraduate theses, academic publications, conference papers, lists of citations, lists of courses taught, and if applicable, lists of master’s or doctoral theses supervised. These documents must be compiled in one USB drive and submitted within 15 days from the date of this announcement to the Personnel Department (for applications to the Institute of Film and Media Studies) or to the relevant Faculty Dean’s Office (for other positions).
For initial applications to faculty positions, candidates must provide documentation proving that they meet at least one of the foreign language proficiency conditions specified in Article 8, paragraph 7 of the “Regulation on Foreign Language Education and Teaching in Higher Education Institutions and on the Principles to be Followed in Education and Instruction in a Foreign Language.”

Required Qualifications
a) Must hold a PhD in Communication Sciences and have publications on the history of Turkish cinema in Q1-ranked journals indexed by SSCI.
b) Must hold a PhD in animation, anime, or manga; must have publications in Q1 or Q2-ranked journals indexed by SSCI or AHCI on animation, anime, or manga.
c) Must hold a bachelor's degree in Turkish Language and Literature and a PhD in Comparative Literature. The PhD must be obtained from a university ranked among the top 200 in Literature in the 2024 QS, THE, or USNews World University Rankings; must have publications in Comparative Literature in journals indexed by SSCI, AHCI, or ESCI.
d) Must hold a PhD in Psychology obtained from a university ranked among the top 200 in the field of Psychology in the 2024 QS, THE, or USNews World University Rankings; must have publications in Q1-ranked SCIE-indexed journals on visual and cognitive neuroscience.
e) Must hold a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics or a related field obtained from a university ranked among the top 100 in Biological Sciences in the 2024 QS, THE, or USNews World University Rankings; must have publications in Q1-ranked SCIE-indexed journals on the discovery of covalent-binding inhibitors.
f) Must hold a PhD in Business Administration obtained from a university ranked among the top 100 in Business Administration in the 2024 QS, THE, or USNews World University Rankings; must hold an Associate Professorship in International Economics or International Trade and have publications in Q1-ranked SSCI-indexed journals on international innovation networks.
g) Must hold a PhD in Business Administration obtained from a university ranked among the top 100 in Business Administration in the 2024 QS, THE, or USNews World University Rankings; must have publications in Q1-ranked SSCI-indexed journals on innovation and entrepreneurship.
g) Must hold a PhD degree in the field of Business Administration obtained from a university ranked among the top 100 worldwide in the 2024 QS, THE, or USNews university rankings; must have publications in Q1-ranked journals indexed by SSCI in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.
