Announcement for the Recruitment of Faculty Members

Associate Professors and Assistant Professors will be recruited for the vacant positions in the Faculties and Institutes of our University, in accordance with the relevant articles of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the general conditions in Article 48 of the Civil Servants Law No. 657, the relevant articles of the Regulation on Promotion and Appointment to Faculty Positions, and the Principles of Appointment and Promotion to Faculty Positions of Boğaziçi University.

* Candidates applying for the Associate Professor position must meet the following criteria: Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Professor must submit their application letters, CVs, associate professorship certificate obtained from the Interuniversity Board, postgraduate theses, scientific publications, congress and conference papers, a list of citations to these, a list of ongoing and completed doctoral and master's theses under their supervision, a list of courses taught, a list of projects conducted, and documents related to their contributions to the institutionalization of research activities, resources secured from outside the university for research and education activities, and administrative duties undertaken, along with one USB drive, to the Personnel Department within 15 days of the publication date of this announcement.

* Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Professor must submit their application letters, CVs, postgraduate theses, scientific studies and publications, congress and conference papers, a list of citations to these, a list of courses taught, and, if applicable, a list of master's and doctoral theses under their supervision, along with one USB drive, to the relevant Institute Directorate ... Candidates applying for this position must also fill out the forms found in the announcement titled "Faculty Member Recruitment Announcement" at https://bogazici.edu.tr/tr/announcements and submit them to the relevant unit along with a signed application and a photocopy of their ID card.

For initial applications to faculty positions at our university, regarding the foreign language requirement, it is necessary to submit a document proving that at least one of the conditions specified in Article 8, paragraph 7 of the "Regulation on the Principles to be Followed in Foreign Language Teaching and Teaching in a Foreign Language in Higher Education Institutions" is met.

a) Holding a PhD in Engineering from a university ranked in the top 100 in Engineering in the 2026 QS, THE, or USNews world university rankings, or having completed at least three years of postdoctoral research at such a university; holding an associate professorship in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and having publications in Q1 category journals indexed by SCIE on programmable and reconfigurable systems.

b) Holding a PhD in Engineering from a university ranked in the top 100 in Engineering in the 2026 QS, THE, or USNews world university rankings, or having completed at least three years of postdoctoral research at such a university; having publications in Q1 category journals indexed by SCIE in the field of biofabrication or tissue engineering.

c) Holding a PhD in Mathematics from a university ranked in the top 300 in Mathematics in the 2026 QS, THE, or USNews world university rankings, or having completed at least three years of postdoctoral research at such a university; a) Having obtained an associate professorship in geometry and topology and having publications in low-dimensional topology in Q1 category journals indexed by SCIE.

d) Having obtained a PhD in Psychology from a university ranked in the top 300 in Psychology in the 2025 QS, THE, or USNews world university rankings, or having completed at least three years of postdoctoral research at such a university; having obtained an associate professorship in social psychology and having publications in social identities and intergroup relations in Q1 category journals indexed by SSCI.

e) Having obtained a PhD in a field related to Turkish Language and Literature from a university ranked in the top 100 in Arts and Humanities in the 2026 QS, THE, or USNews world university rankings, or having completed at least three years of postdoctoral research at such a university; f) Having obtained an associate professorship in Turkish Language or Linguistics and having publications on terminology in journals indexed by AHCI/SSCI.

f) Having obtained a doctorate in a field related to History from a university ranked in the top 100 in History in the 2026 QS, THE, or USNews world university rankings, or having completed at least three years of postdoctoral research at such a university; having obtained an associate professorship in archaeology and having publications in journals indexed by SSCI on ceramic technologies of the Bronze Age in Anatolia and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin.
